My name is Nashae Crawford. I am 18 years old and a senior in Humanities. I have been taking semester classes in Ms. Blake such as Art Advance and Art History. My specialty in Art is drawing landscapes because they’re beautiful to me and when I get older, one day I want to visit the landscape that I drew for my pastel painting. Sometimes at my spare time, I draw at home because it helps me unwind and be self-creative.
Hello, my name is Lexi Burgos; I’m a senior here at Bulkeley High School. I’ve always wanted to be an artist and when I was a younger student my artwork was exhibited, twice, at an art gallery at the Wadsworth Athenaeum. I am currently, enrolled in drawing and ceramics classes and working on an art education internship with my art teacher here at the high school. I have yet to decide on whether or not I would like to become a teacher. Through my artwork, and with the personal symbols that I have developed, I represent how my personal experiences have shaped me as a person and a student. When I am not in school, I delight my family and friends by making for them handmade greeting cards. I am currently looking into an art related field that I can peruse by attending a local college or art school.
Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities while enrolled at Bulkeley High School. There are many opportunities to get involved, meet new people and develop new skills
